The Virginia Pool & Billiards Association and Diamond Billiards llc announced an exciting, new event taking place February 4th-5th 2017. The first ever COMMONWEALTH CUP! With a Mosconi Cup styled format, Richmond Virginia's 6 best players will be battling it out against the best 6 players from Virginia Beach.

Team RVA consists of Team Captain and former VA State 9 Ball Champion Larry Kressel, John Newton, David Hunt, Danny Mastermaker, Chris Bruner and Meghan Buchanan.

Team VB consists of Team Captain and former VA State 9 Ball Champion Chris Futrell, former VA State 9 Ball Champion Eric Moore, Kenny Miller, Nilbert Lim, Bill Duggan and Jacki Duggan.

​

Matches will consist of 1 Team Match, 3 Partners Matches and 6 Singles Matches. Each match will be 9 Ball, Race to 6 Games. Each set will be worth 1 team point. The team that scores 6 team points will win the Mosconi Cup. In the event of a tie in team points, there will be a Sudden Death Captain's Choice Match for the Cup!
